great holiday season. Part 3.

Well this sure was a extra surprise..

After the 2 great gifts I already posted about I was informed that one more was still on it's way.

I had no clue what it might be, but the shipping took much longer than expected. When I arrived at my girls pad the other day she had this last gift for me, and what do I find inside?? A Bullmark Standard size Gyango!! Yes I know I posted this figure before but this one is the real deal, vintage from the 70's. Now I know why the shipping took so long, it was on its way from Japan.

This was an amazing holiday season and I hope everyone who views this had one also.

Great holiday season. Part 2.

The second gift from my gal is a book I can't stop talking about, Beautiful Book of Monsters Part 1. Its a amazing collection of 614 photos of a man's Bullmark and Marusan collection. It showcases toys from both the Ultraman series and Godzilla films. The book is a softcover with a dust jacket and 178 pages of unreal pictures. I can't recommend this book enough, if you are a vintage toy collector or just want a great coffee table book.. Pick this up!!

Great holiday season. Part 1.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I just wanted to share some of the great items I got this season. First up is the M1 GMK Godzilla I received from my girl. It's the Flesh Green Ver. I have seen this one online before, but the spray in person is really great. Click on the photos for some nice close-ups.

A Girlfriend's Rant

Sometimes, in the pursuit of the perfect present, you need to go to the experts. For Christmas this year, the quest for the Bullmarks was beginning to be a little overwhelming so I decided to ask Jonathan for some help. I scoured eBay for at what felt like days before texting him SOS and admitting I needed advice. The one thing I found was a vintage Red King bullmark that looked to be in great condition aside from a small (not even noticeable!!) crack in the armpit. Thinking that maybe I'd stumbled across something great, I mentioned it to him with fingers crossed. Unfortunately it seemed that Red King was not high on Jordan's list, and the crack in the vinyl would be a big problem. Sigh. I move on, no bids and the thing gets sold.....

Come on! Unfair. Christmas is not ruined.

Ok, you'll have to wait to see what else Jordan is getting instead, but still. Thanks Jonathan.

My buddy Jonathan just picked up some nice Bullmarks, I was at his place the other day and snapped some pictures.

GMK Baragon

He's back!! After a long absence from Godzilla films, Baragon returned in the 2001 movie Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.

Released by Bandai, Baragon was for some reason the rarest figure in the movie collection and is about double the price of any of the others. Baragon also had a movie theater exclusive version cast in a semi-clear orange. He stands close to 6" in hight and 7" in length. This is one of my favorite Bandai sculpts.
